| NATURAL SOAPS SDN. BHD. | Natural Oleochemicals Sdn Bhd (NatOleo’s) parent company, Kulim (M) Berhad, is one of the largest plantation-based companies in Malaysia.
With a solid growth history of more than six decades, the Group has been a major player in the economic evolution of Malaysia. Kulim (M) Berhad is a listed company on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.
Kulim’s main area of business is the plantation sector, with emphasis on oil palm and related downstream activities, including the production of palm kernel oil and tissue culture of seedlings.
In addition the Group has interests in investment holdings, real estate development and natural rubber.
The principal shareholder of Kulim (M) Berhad is Johor Corporation (JCORP), one of the most highly regarded development corporations in South East Asia.
As the driving force behind Johor’s remarkable economic transformation in the last decade, JCorp is a leading international player in several segments including health-care and resource-based industries.
Plantations, however have always been the core of JCorp’s business and continue to do so, under the strategic management of its Agro-business Division (Kulim (M) Bhd). The lead role is played by Kulim’s fully owned subsidiary, EPA Management Sdn Bhd, which manages all the estates and oil mills owned by the Group.
As a member of the Kulim group of companies, NatOleo has direct access to Kulim’s plantation and other diverse resources.
Kulim as a whole, controls 46 estates with a total of 165,000 hectares of plantation and 11 palm oil mills.
