Eco-Friendly Fabrics
Why use recycled polyester fibers?
Making fabrics from recycled PET bottles is a significant way to reduce the amount of plastic that need to be buried in landfills or is otherwise left floating in our oceans. It is estimated that for every meter of fabric made of 50% recycled PET, approx. 3-6 plastic (600ml) bottles are kept out of landfills. The demand for petroleum products is also reduced and there in less impact on the environment compared to the processing of virgin PET, with energy saving and reduction of CO2 emission by as much as 90% and 70% respectively.
How does this fabric come together?
The fiber are made up of recycled PET resins which originate from recycled flakes of discarded PET bottles that are collected and processed in compliance with The Containers and Packing Recycling laws in Japan.
The final product.
Recycled polyester fiber is combined with normal or organic cotton to produce blended yarn which is then made into yarn dyed or solid dyed fabrics. These fabrics have the same look, feel and durability of virgin fabrics.
Certificate of Authenticity.
Each delivery of fabric made from recycled polyester fibers are accompanied by a certificate of Authenticity to enable verification by our customer.
