About Us |
The Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) is a principal land development agency in Malaysia. Established in 1956, it was entrusted with the responsibility of opening up new lands for agriculture and settlements. Since the mid-eighties, it has primarily been involved in the development of plantations on a commercial basis.
As the bulk of Felda's produce is marketed overseas, over the years, the Group has set up, on a joint venture basis, production and bulk distribution facilities in various strategic regions. In Egypt and China, it operates oil palm complexes which produce various types of edible oils, cocoa butter substitutes and bulk storage terminals. The latter facilities are also available at Port Qasim in Karachi, Pakistan. In Thailand, the Group is involved in the production of latex concentrate.
