1972
Mr. Yap Booi Lek commenced his business by setting up Ban Fatt Lorry at Jalan Dato, Ipoh, a sole proprietorship firm in trading used lorries.
1972 - 78
Initially he established contacts in Singapore and began the business by importing used trucks(Mercedes) from Europe. Soon after that, he got the same business from Japan. During 1972-73, he then ventured into assembling imported components for used trucks. In order to expand the business, he later purchased a two(2) acres of land at Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh, in which he built a double storey building comprising of office, workshop and showroom. Thus, the business grew together with his experience and knowledge.
1979
Due to increasing volume of imports and sales especially heavy equipment and machinery, B&F Trading Co. Limited was incorporated. B&F has imported the full range of used heavy equipment, machinery and commercial vehicles from Japan, Europe, USA and Canada. These machines are then reconditioned at B&F's... |
