Premium was incorporated in Malaysia on 12 August 2002 as a public limited company and was listed on Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange on 1 August 2003. Premium Nutrients Berhad is principally an investment holding company while the principal activities are carried out by its subsidiary and associated companies, all of which were incorporated in Malaysia except Arani Agro Oil Industries Limited which was incorporated in India.
Premium Vegetable Oils Sdn Bhd
Premium Vegetable Oils Sdn Bhd is the subsidiary of Premium Nutrients Berhad and it was incorporated as a private limited company on 17 May 1978 as Nalfico Premier Oils Sdn. Bhd. On 10 September 1985, the name of the Company was changed to Premier Nalin Sdn. Bhd. and subsequently as Premium Vegetable Oils Sdn. Bhd. The Company was converted into a public limited company and assumed its present name on 28 June 1999.
The principal activities of the Company consist of manufacturing and sale of specialty fats such as cocoa butter replacer, cocoa butter substitute, cocoa butter equivalent, palm mid fraction, transfree interesterified hand structural fat for margarine, specialty shortening, cooking oil etc. These fats and oils are based on palm kernel oil, palm oil, coconut oil, rapeseed oil and soybean oil including those refined and fractionated, interesterified products. Company also manufactures rumen bypass fat for dairy cattle and palm kernel pellet as animal feed ingredients.
Swiss Premium Corporation Sdn. Bhd.
Swiss Premium Corporation Sdn. Bhd. was established in collaboration with M/S Nutriswiss AG, Lyss, Switzerland (formerly known as Morgia AG). The principal activity of the Company is manufacturing of specialty frying oils and fats.
Premium Fats Sdn. Bhd.
Premium Fats Sdn. Bhd. was set up for the manufacturing of downstream products. The principal activity of the Company is to manufacture specialty margarine including pastry margarine, low fat spreads, salad dressing, mayonnaise, whipping cream, chocolate spread etc.
Malim Sawit Sdn. Bhd.
Malim Sawit Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated on 4 May 1979. The principal activities of the Company are processing of oil palm fruits, fractioning and refining of palm oil and its fractions. The Company is also involved in selling of packed ghee as well as palm olein.
Arani Agro Oil Industries Limited
Arani Agro Oil Industries Limited was incorporated in India on 9 October 1996. The principal activity of the Company is manufacturing and processing of sunflower oil, soybean oil, palm oil and palm olein. The management of the Company was taken over by Premium Vegetable Oils Sdn Bhd in 2002. The Company will be expanding the factory by setting up facilities for fractionation, hydrogenation, texturisation etc. for the manufacture of specialty fats.
