Glasses are made of Borosilicate for high temperature and pressure applications.
Temp. Range up to 400 deg C ( borosilicate) other materials such as soda lime, quartz and more for various high and low temperature and pressure applications Rubber cones used to protect glass tube and prevents leakages.
Packing sleeves within the gauge cocks are made of pure graphite for high temperature and pressure applications to give a good seal and to ensure no leakages occur within the gauge cocks.
Gaskets are used to protect the gauge glasses and to prevent leaks from the gauge glass body. Gaskets made of asbestos and non asbestos and also available in pure graphite. In high pressure applications mica shields are used with transparent gauge glasses for better protection.
Sight glasses used in many applications for medium viewing purposes. Shapes such as circular and rectangular are most commonly found. Sizes and thickness vary depending on application and medium in contact with glass.
